CitiField - taken by storm by Caleb James

On Saturday, Caleb went to his first baseball game of the season at CitiField. Now, all you Yankee fans out there, don't worry. Caleb is not a Mets fan ... he is a RED SOX fan! Daddy showed us all around the new stadium, we got to eat Shake Shack fries and milkshakes and then Caleb ran around the Sterling Club playing toys and taking in an inning or two.

Nana and Pops visit!

Caleb James is enjoying time with his Nana and Pops this week! He's been showing them how he can walk everywhere, how he dribbles a ball (almost as good as his daddy!) and how he smells flowers ... even ones on postcards!

What a weekend! New shoes and a backyard to play in!

Caleb had a busy weekend. Friday evening after school, we went to Harry's Shoes to get CJ fitted for his first pair of walking shoes!! He is sporting a new pair of Ecco sneaks size 5. Then on Saturday we went to Long Island to visit Mommy's friends from college. Here he is ... king of the backyard. Check out the dirt all over his pants and the bubbles followed by sand in his hair! He's never done that in Central Park!

Here is Caleb with his friends Ryan, Will and Jake eating dinner at the picnic table. Caleb has never sat in a chair without a back before. And he only fell once! Off the seat that is ... there were quite a few other falls in the backyard!

When we got home Caleb asked Daddy for a slide.

Thomas the Train

Caleb's favorite book these days is Thomas the Train. He walks around the house with it everyday offering it to us so we can read it to him ... for the 100th time!!!! Does he have an addictive personality or what?

Walkie

Mr Caleb is walking all over the place! It literally happened overnight. He woke up Monday morning and just started walking ... no more crawling for this little guy. Watch out ... here he comes!

CitiField is so cool!

Daddy hates to admit it but he really digs the new Mets stadium, CitiField! He took us out there on Saturday night for a tour of the Shake Shack and all the other USHG concessions. Caleb can't wait to take in some Mets games this season! Of course, only after he's been to a few Red Sox games!

Happy Easter!

Caleb celebrated the second Easter of his life at Granddad and Mimi's in New Jersey. He has a new uncle to meet ... Uncle Poe! He is Granddad and Mimi's new puppy. He is two months old and the same as their other dogs, standard poodle. Caleb enjoyed talking to Poe from outside his crate.

Then when we got back to the city, Caleb asked if we would take him to Central Park so he could take care of a few emails on his blackberry. Here he is typing away with the cityscape in the background.

Splash, splash, splashy!

Tonight CJ was like a fish in water during bath time! He was splashing all over the place. Here are a few pictures from his bath time adventures!

Caleb and the Pinto Family!

This week two of Carla's children had birthdays! Derek turned 10 on April 6th and Christian turned 16 on April 9th. And to celebrate they came into the city and spent the afternoon hanging with little man Caleb, had Shake Shack for dinner and then caught a movie before heading home. Caleb is so lucky to have some many big kid friends!

Shake Shack's Youngest Fan!

Who is Shake Shack's youngest fan? This guy! Carla and Caleb decided to do a photo shoot and he wanted everyone to know that he loves the Shack just like his daddy does. He's got big shoes to fill!

Storytime

Every night before bed, Caleb loves to read stories! Tonight Daddy read Caleb his favorite Thomas the Train book. Do you like the little man's pajamas? They are his cosmic duds ... maybe some day he'll go to the moon!

Double fisted at dinner

CJ hasn't yet mastered the double fisted beer move that Uncle Kevin has been known for ... but tonight at dinner he was practicing ... water in one hand and milk in the other hand. He is getting MUCH better and drinking his milk from a sippy cup. No more bottles for this big guy!

FIrst breakfast was not enough

On Sunday, Caleb James was up very early (6:15am) so we had breakfast and went to Palm Sunday mass at 7:30am. Well, apparently church made him hungry again because he shared Grammy's breakfast when we returned home! He truly is a Garutti boy -- loves to eat!!

Multi-tasking

On Saturday night, Caleb was exhibiting signs of being able to handle more than one thing at a time. Not only was he playing the drums but he was watching basketball on TV!

Playing ball with Grammy!

Grammy is visiting Caleb this weekend. She arrived tonight before Caleb's bedtime and just in time to play some ball ... Caleb's favorite word and his favorite game!

Pillows!

Yesterday, Carla and Caleb had fun with Mommy and Daddy's pillows. They are so comfy! Caleb could relax here all day!
